Introduction of Glen Innes

Glen Innes is a small town in the northern highlands of (Northern Tablelands) in (New England region), northeast New South Wales, averaging 1062 meters above sea level and about 570km by car from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales. About 360km from Queensland capital Brisbane.

Glen Innes is located at the intersection of the A15 and 876 main roads and is conveniently accessible. There is a railway station in the town that was once one of the stops in (Main North Line), but is no longer in use.

Glen Innes is the coldest area in Australia except Tasmania Island and Snow Mountain with a history coldest temperature of-12.8 °C (July 8, 2002) and major industries include wool, mutton and beef. In addition, tourism is making up a growing share of the small-town economy because of its proximity to (Washpool National Park), one of Australia's best rainforests, and travel to and from Washp National Park, which is believed to be one of Australia's best rainforests. Washp National Park is part of the World Heritage: the (Gondwana Rainforests of Australia) rainforest.
